The shot of Lee Marvin on that horse with it's front legs crossed can still raise a giggle when I think of it.
Nat King Cole, a beautiful voice and perfect diction as opposed to today's so called "vocalists". Just seen a promo for the Voice on Nine, absolute rubbish. There they are faces all screwed up, eyes closed, tonsils quivering, screaming into into the microphone and just to top it off they cut to a so called judge with green and orange hair who's party trick is to smash the shit out of the button.
That say's it all for me.
All show and no substance.

Yep! not a bad movie, Nat King Cole was something special, Stubby Kaye had a very good voice and was also a pretty fair hand on banjo, that's why I posted the Ballad of Cat Ballou clip.
I'm with you Magnarc, the voice is of no interest to me, from what I see it's all about the narcissistic judges pulling amazed faces.

Another similar movie of the Cat Ballou era was Paint Your Wagon in 1969. It also starred Lee Marvin, with Clint Eastwood.
