Afterlife on Netflix, in a word , brilliant.
Ricky Gervais impresses me greatly, he wrote, produced, and directed the show , plays the lead character Tony Johnson, with a very impressive supporting cast.
Compassion, empathy along with a deep understanding of the weaknesses and needs of people makes the show compelling viewing.
Perhaps a bit close to the bone for some, however I found it entertaining enough to watch a second time.

We saw this sometime ago, it was on SBS I believe. Great viewing. He has a talent for script writing. His efforts on "The Office" were very good too. Since we are both a helluva lot closer to the end of this mortal coil it certainly gave us food for thought!

I've heard it's good.
Unfortunately Netflix is, effectively, out for me, which is a shame as I enjoyed it when staying at my son's house.
I could subscribe but then I have to be in a location with good mobile coverage and have a high bandwidth plan. Maybe I'll revisit the possibility next year.

No! Cancel that - I have series 1 and 2 of afterlife.
A couple of years back I bought a 4TB hard drive which I asked my son to fill with anything he thought I would enjoy through nefarious means (torrents) and I thought the title was familiar so I checked and discovered it on said hard drive.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll watch it.
