I was wrong about the Matildas. Yes, you can take a screenshot and taunt me with it when I tell you why I'm right about something else I have been a little disparaging of women's football probably because football is a hard, tough game requiring a lot of strength and stamina and I didn't believe women could produce a performance as exciting and entertaining as men - I was wrong. The Matildas/France game last week was a delight to watch (first time I've watched TV in about two years), skillful, tactical, professional and entertaining. It was a shame the result was decided by penalties because, really, both teams deserved to win. Anyway; tomorrow night at 8pm (AEST) I shall set myself up with a bottle of good red, the TV tuned to Channel 7 (luckily it has great reception here, near Sale Vic), ignore the phone and Amateur Radio and hope for a good game, which I reckon it will be. Although I'd like to see the Matildas win... as an ex. Pom I'm in the fortunate position of being able to follow either team to the final.

Whilst I wish them well Mike, I have zero interest in the round ball game, male or female.

I watched them last night, with (if the TV ratings are correct) seven million other TV viewers
Alas, when one team wins, then the other one has to lose, and this time the other team won, so no public holiday
I look on the bright side, I will still have a public holiday, just do not know which day to pick, as I am in the seven day a week retirement phase
I felt for the Matildas, when England got their third goal, as it seemed to be a hill to steep to climb
