Palestine protesters force Myers Melbourne to scrap a 70 year long tradition of unveiling their christmas windows on Sunday.
What a weak Labor Government giving in to terrorists.

I don't see how the government "gave in", nor do I see how these morons can be viewed as "terrorists". Really, this is just crazy language. www.aap.com.au/news/morons-multi-faith-condemnation-over-myer-protest/

Now, that's telling it as it is. Giving in to threats from these no-hopers only exacerbates the situation, encouraging them to bigger and worse things. So long as authorities bow to threats such as this there never will be any change. Very sad.

Admit it, you deliberately used the "terror" word to invoke an association with Palestinian terrorists. I know nothing about these protesters, but they could just be protesting about the civilian loss of life in Gaza, particularly in respect of children. That doesn't make them terrorists. Far from it. They're just stupid and inconsiderate.

The Victorian Premier called them morons and I think that's a fair comment.
In the shower, as one does, I was wondering about this and what the protesters' rationale was, consider:
Israel is 10,000km (whatever) distant from Oz Israel and Oz have next to no trade, cultural, military or historical ties Oz has zero political influence over Israel Oz has close to zero political influence over any country Oz has no special international standing which could be used to shame Israel Oz does not have sufficient military force to intervene
This leaves me wondering, from a practical perspective, what positives did the protesters conceivably think would come from such an action?
Did they think their action would come to the attention of Netanyahu and he would throw his arms up in horror and declare a cease fire and extra chocolate rations for Palestinians?
Did they think Albanese would be "brought to his senses" and declare war on Israel?
"I know!", says John whilst making his protest banner, "Let's go and stuff up the Myer window display thing! That'll bring the world to its senses."
God almighty! The Premier was right... morons.
What I think goes on with these people is actually very simple: they live their daily lives largely confining thoughts to the problem of "How can I make as many people as possible pay attention to me?" And I am convinced their thoughts rarely stray beyond that virtually impenetrable boundary.

I agree with the mild sentiments above but would go further, by pointing your attention to the UK and what has been unfolding there over the last three decades as the Muslim population increased dramatically with little or no control and barely any assimilation.
Those people of Muslim faith who are asylum seekers/migrants to Australia passed many majority Muslim ruled lands on their way here, why not stop there if you are reluctant to assimilate properly, respect our ways and value Australian culture.
As for the stupid morons who are Australian born and are still shouting their support for Palestinian casualties in Gaza I say. You can stop the war any time you like by holding demonstrations targeting Hamas and demanding they handing back the hostages and lay down their arms.
I speak generally about Muslims because you rarely, if ever, see their Mullahs or the congregation come out en masse and out the terrorists by openly condemning them.
