With very rare exceptions I have decided I'm not prepared to waste my time and bandwidth watching videos to support argument.
If an argument cannot be supported by the written word then I suspect it is unsupportable. I really do not need to be forced to watch some individual talking at me until he decides he's exhausted his value.
With the written word I can skip or glance over text and get an understanding of its meaning, going back to reassess those aspects I'm unsure of. With video I have to watch and listen to every second of the tirade and I have decided my remaining life and internet bandwidth is just too limited for that.
End.

I agree with what you said, but with some provisos.
First, you will note that I have been pointing to specific locations in a video for the points I am making unless it is fairly short. And in the recent one linked by NH for Israel possible war crimes I asked for such specific locations.
But often, I don't trust the printed word. Maybe I am too skeptical, but when I see "xx said this", I like to see actual video of the person saying that, and with enough context surrounding it. Video is "proof". Written word is too easily manipulated. Written word is too easily abbreviated or context shortened to address society's reducing attention spans.
Of course now that deep fake videos are becoming reality, that "proof" is becoming harder.

The endless waffling prior to the main reason for the video being there is, in many cases. just an ego trip.
