Prices are falling and better deals becoming available, this is very tempting; 50GB per month for A$80 with a A$300 initial cost works everywhere across Australia and is fast: Starlink
And for those who only travel occasionally the account may be deactivated on a monthly basis. Just be mindful of its power consumption - I need to do more investigation but it appears to use more power than I would like.

A brief update:
I've looked into Starlink power consumption carefully; the "Standard Kit" will consume around 1kWh of energy per 24 hours, this is about the same as a fridge/freezer and will be too much for most off-grid campers.
The "Mini Kit" is better but still consumes around 400 to 500Wh per 16 hour period, switch off at night.
It appears this high consumption is due to Starlink begin a mesh network and the satellites and user spend a lot of time chattering about data routing paths and such. I'm sure the consumption will improve with time but don't expect significant change for perhaps two years?
Otherwise Starlink looks ideal for people outside mobile phone areas. Keep in mind with VoWiFi it also provides you with a phone service. The Mini has only been on the market for about three months and is still A$800 but once it drops a bit I'll buy one and go with the A$80/50GB per month plan.
