Does anyone look at the top of the page to see if you have notifications or messages?
Maybe it's Firefox, but for me they are hardly noticeable. Only a portion of the indicator icon is visible as the rest is outside the page border. Anyway, just a reminder to look up and see if you have notifiers, etc. Also, look down the bottom and see if there is anything in the Shoutbox .... also easy to miss.
Admin, I assume this indicator icon is something you have no control over.

Hi AWL I will take a look but I suspect they are fixed and not changeable by me. I normally view this forum via my Android tablet upon which I run the browser Brave, a fork of Chrome, and the notifications are quite clear on that. It tends to be a Google world

It tends to be a Google world Which is why I like to choose anything else if I can.

Just to add to this subject, here is what I see.
So for me, it's very easy to miss a notification.

I think that may be a font issue with Firefox. In any event I'm fairly confident it's not caused by this website. Are you able to check with another browser? Most systems come equipped with Edge or Chrome. This is what I see with Brave: Screenshot

I tried with Chrome and got the same image as in your link. Then, the answer was clear .... my ad blocker in Firefox saw the heading banner as an advertisement and blocked it. Turn off the ad blocker and it appeared. Seeing how Chrome looked reminded why I switched to Firefox years ago. And I prefer DuckDuckGo for searching. No tracking and it removes ALL the sponsored links that Google puts at the top of searches.
Sorry for thread drift.

Glad you found it I gave up on Firefox a couple of years ago for various reasons. I suggest taking a look at Brave, it kills all ads naively and does lots of other good stuff too. Works well on Android and Linux but I don't think I've tried it on Windows. However Firefox does have a paywall breaker for the Australian but it's a bit hard to find.
