I have been using Android Auto in my Holden Trailblazer with a few different mapping applications for about two years and am just about to give it up.
In general it works well enough but often crashes and invariably at a location where I cannot pull over to sort it out. As my major use of it is when towing the van this can be a big problem. Sometimes the crash is so severe it requires the Trailblazer ignition to be cycled and/or the Android tablet/phone to be reset.
Of course the cause of the crash may be: 1-the mapping software, 2-the Android Auto interface software , 3-the Holden Android Auto software. Can you imagine trying to get any technical assistance with that lot!?
So I think I'll just revert to using my Android tablet directly, only trouble is mounting the dam thing - all but impossible in the Trailblazer.
