Hi and thank you for joining the forum.
This forum is intended to serve as a meeting place for people interested in long term and/or long distance land travel in Australia. Its main focus is on full time nomads and people who undertake journeys of a few months or more. However even if you're simply planning a two week holiday you are more than welcome to read and post.
Feel free to ask questions or offer knowledge about any matters related to the above areas. The forum subject "boards" are clearly titled and, intentionally, their number is kept to a minimum.
I started this forum as a relaxed space for people who have found other forums too prescriptive and controlling, perhaps because they operate as commercial enterprises, this forum uses a free host and has no commercial interests. It will survive or fail according to how useful, or otherwise, people find it.
Please note: I will have two identities on this forum; one as a standard user, Mike Harding, and the other as Administrator, I will try to use the Administrator one as little as possible.
I have been a full time nomad for almost five years (at mid 2023) living and travelling in my car/caravan mainly in SE Australia, I'm single, in my sixties and, no doubt, will see my life out in this lifestyle. Feel free to contact me via a PM or at:
