There has been much discussion recently about the the female (NOT Lady) who thought it entirely reasonable to take her baby to the Arj Barker show in Melbourne. There is nothing to discuss, surely? The show was restricted to persons above a certain age, 15 maybe, but this female chose to ignore that. Theatre staff also are to blame, unless the baby was smuggled in as a pillow or whatever. This female should have had more respect for patrons who had paid good money to attend, but the modern "me, me" attitude was apparent. What next? Bring your toddlers, your pets or even the local Wolfhound! It is beyond my range of comprehension that anybody can condone such unreasonable and irresponsible behaviour. Where is the world going?

At the first sign of noise she should have had the courtesy to get up and walk. Ffs sake babies have a penchant to make noise frequently. Should not have bee there. No respect to all the other folk let alone the comic. He was right to do what he did.
Respect Chris?? It's gone the same way as common sense mate.

Bring your toddlers, your pets or even the local Wolfhound! Wolfhounds make great service dogs! Bred and showed them for many years. They do have a penchant for sniffing crutches, their noses are at the correct level.

Aaaah, that explains my penchant for sniffing Wolfhound noses then.

I heard a piece on the ABC Hourly Social Justice Report (they call it news) this morning; some group or other is lobbying to have old style discipline brought back into schools eg. "No talking over the teacher and putting your hand up if you have a question" - I had *no idea* such basic courtesies had disappeared! How could one possibly teach 30 children *without* some discipline?
Of course the discourteous woman should not have taken her baby to the show but you know how it is with some parents: their little darling should be viewed as a gift to the planet and can do no wrong. You know the type; they are at your house (usually just the once), put their feet (with shoes) on the furniture, demand constant attention and also manage to break something, "He can be a little boisterous" says the proud mother... "He can also be a little dead" I reply, and that usually brings the visit to a close.
I have raised children, partly on my own, and know how difficult it can be but unless they are taught self discipline and respect of others they will grow up to be unhappy, unpopular and frustrated and almost certainly raise bad children themselves - so the cycle repeats.
