Getting ready to head off for an annual get together with friends we have met through traveling. You know family and friends of friends who have met over the years traveling.
We will go from Bairnsdale over the Omeo Hwy. slowly working our way up to our meeting spot on the Murray near the Barmah National Park and the Murray National Park. Plenty of good fun,lotsa laughs, great campfires.Fishing and drinks of your choice,and a lot of reminiscing . Looking forward to it.

Great life for some! Sounds great, as one of my favourite activities is reminiscing over a few beers with friends. Hope it all goes well for you, and that the fish play the game. Enjoy. |

I hope life is treating you both well.
I shall be in the Barmah area for six weeks from early June, house and dog sitting for a friend, but I suspect you will have left by then.

We are now going on the NSW side.They still have that $6 dollar registration fee that they brought in during Covid.
Just a bit of a nuisance booking in,
Stopping at Katies for a couple of nights on the way over.

The trip was great,headed over the Omeo Hwy.stopped on snowy creek, then on the Katie Peter's,free camping all the way. Then onto the Murray Valley Nat. Park,great time catching up with everyone. What's Deniliquin like safety wise at present al42, given the widespread trouble with the locals? Never had any problems at Deni. We were going to stay at Willoughbys beach,the turnoff is right in town at Memorial Park. The school holidays in NSW had just finished but there were still a lot of vans in the area.Plus heaps of rubbish everywhere. Also there were a few squatters in tents,and the area does not have drop toilets,sadly they were using the grassy area for a toilet,so we went to another free camp not far from town. Willoughby beach is usually very well kept.
