Because this is a free forum it has limits on the size of images which may be stored on it, this is to stop us using up all their disk space - fair enough. As most do not have their own website on which to host an image you will need to use a public server such as PostImages: PostImagesOnce you have chosen and uploaded your image select and copy to your clipboard the "Direct link" NB. other types of link will not work. Here's one of my photographs uploaded to PostImages a few minutes ago: Next it's back to this forum and the "Create thread" editor; click on the icon seventh from right and an "Insert image" box will open, ensure the "Image URL" field is clear then paste the link from your clipboard into that field, click on the "Insert image" button, bottom right, and you're done - easy Note: The forum code which handles embedding images is not great - if you have problems please let me know and I'll try and sort them out. -------- -------- In order to receive e-mails informing you of various forum events, including "Personal messages" do this, go to: Log in to forum home page Members <Select your name> Edit profile Notifications Select the options you require - your selections are saved automatically. Return to the forum home page when finished -------- --------

An update to posting images: It is possible to use the widely known image hosting site Imgur to host images for this forum: Here's how to do it: Go to the Imgur website (you don't need to be a member) Click "New post" (top left) Click "Choose photo/video" Select a photograph from your computer Wait for full upload Move mouse cursor over photo and click on the three dots (top right) Click on "Get share links" Click on "BB code (Forums)" Done with Imgur now Return to your post on this forum and copy the Imgur link into your post at the desired location. *Don't* use the forum tools just simply paste that link into your post - like this: It sounds a lot more complicated than it is.

Thanks for this, Mike. My lack of technical knowledge means that it all looks complicated, but I will have an attempt when I get a bit of time. If I'm unsuccessful perhaps I can give you a call to see if you can talk me through it? Cheers
